Build a Lightsaber at Savi's Workshop in Galaxy's Edge

Savi’s Workshop in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge gives guests the chance to build a custom lightsaber in an immersive, story-driven setting. Guided by “Gatherers,” you’ll select from themed parts and assemble your own hilt before activating it with a kyber crystal. The entire process takes about 20–30 minutes and is one of the most popular experiences in the land.

The cost is currently $219.99 plus tax. This price includes all the parts for your lightsaber hilt, one kyber crystal, and a carrying case. Guests can choose from four design themes—Peace and Justice, Power and Control, Elemental Nature, or Protection and Defense—each offering a different look and style.

Because space is limited, reservations are required and can be made on the Disneyland website or app. Be aware that missed reservations may be charged the full price of the experience. Magic Key discounts do not apply.

Compared to other Star Wars building activities, Savi’s Workshop is the premium option. The toy lightsaber builds at Star Trader and the Star Wars Trading Post start around $30–$45, while Droid Depot offers a mid-range experience at about $100. For those willing to spend more, Savi’s provides the most detailed and immersive experience, making it a top choice for serious Star Wars fans.

Do you have a kid that wants to build a lightsaber but you don’t want to pay the price for this level of customization or quality? You may want to consider a lightsaber build at Star Traders in Tomorrowland or Star Wars Trading Post in Downtown Disney. You can read about that option here!
