Storytellers Cafe
Character Breakfast, Brunch & Dinner Buffet Options
Storytellers Café, located inside Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, hosts the Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast and Brunch Buffet. Guests can access the restaurant directly from the hotel, through Downtown Disney, or via the Disney California Adventure entrance near Grizzly River Run if they are already in the park.
This character dining experience features Explorer Mickey, Explorer Minnie, Chip and Dale in matching explorer vests, and Pluto sporting a Wilderness Explorer–style handkerchief. Character interactions are lively, with plenty of time for photos and fun moments at each table.
The meal is served buffet-style, offering a wide variety of dishes that appeal to both kids and adults.
Breakfast runs from 7:00 AM to 10:55 AM and is priced at $49 for adults and $29 for children ages 3–9. The buffet includes traditional breakfast items such as fresh fruit, Mickey waffles with whipped cream, breakfast potatoes, pastries, muffins, eggs benedict, and an omelet station. Lighter options, such as miniature cereal boxes and yogurt, are also available for younger guests.
Brunch is offered from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at $51 for adults and $29 for children. Brunch now features all offerings directly on the buffet, combining breakfast and lunch-style options in one accessible spread. Guests can enjoy both sweet and savory items, including kid-friendly choices like chicken tenders and fries, without separate “served selections.”
Since the summer of 2025, Storytellers Café also began offering a dinnertime character dining experience: Donald’s Tales of Adventure. The dinner buffet includes a meat carving station, homemade macaroni and cheese, salmon, lobster ravioli, a dessert spread, fresh fruit, salads, and other seasonal selections. Guests can enjoy character interactions with Donald and friends in themed outfits, making dinner a family-friendly, immersive experience.
During the Halloween season, the restaurant began a seasonal variation called Clarabelle’s Enchanted Halloween Dinner, which features the same menu style with themed decorations and Halloween-inspired character interactions.
Beyond the food and characters, Storytellers Café benefits from its location inside the Grand Californian. The hotel’s lobby often features seasonal displays and is worth exploring before or after your meal. With easy access to and from Disney California Adventure, varied buffet selections, and characters in unique explorer costumes, Storytellers Café is considered by many to be one of the top character dining options at Disneyland Resort.
