            Mobile Ordering at Disneyland: Your Step-by-Step Guide
If there’s one thing to know to make the most of your day at Disneyland, it’s this: mobile ordering your meals will save you time, reduce stress, and prevent hangry meltdowns for guests of all ages.
Step 1: Get the Disneyland App
Download the Disneyland App and take some time to explore it before your visit. You’ll need a Disney account to log in. This account works across all Disney platforms, so if you have an existing account from Disney World or the Disney Store, it will connect seamlessly.
Through the app, you can scan tickets, make park reservations, use Lightning Lane Multi Pass, check wait times, link your MagicBand+, locate restrooms, make dining reservations, find showtimes, and—most importantly—place mobile orders.
Step 2: Plan Ahead
Think about your next meal at least an hour before you’re ready to eat. Popular locations can have immediate return windows, but peak mealtimes may require waiting up to an hour for available pick-up times. Planning ahead ensures you won’t spend unnecessary time hungry in the park.
Step 3: Choose Your Dining Location
The app allows you to filter for “available now” if you want to eat quickly, helping you avoid long wait times. Once you select a location, tap Begin Order for the soonest return window. If you prefer a later window, search the restaurant in the app, tap Order Food, and review all available times throughout the day. From there, you can select your return window, choose your items, and pay directly in the app.
Payment Notes: Orders are charged at checkout. Refunds are available if you cancel before selecting I’m Here, Prepare My Order. Once you confirm your arrival, no refunds are issued. A credit card on file simplifies checkout, while gift cards can be used but must be manually reentered each time. Many guests find it helpful to save the gift card number in their phone’s notes to speed up the process.
Step 4: Check In
Up to five minutes before, or anytime within your arrival window, tap I’m Here, Prepare My Order. The restaurant will begin preparing your food. If you’re delayed by a ride or other circumstance and miss your arrival window by accident, speak to a cast member at the mobile order window with your order number—they can usually accommodate you.
You can also adjust your return window in advance. For example, if your window is 9:00–9:30 AM but you’re stuck on a ride at 8:55 AM, simply select Change Arrival Window in the app and choose a later time.
Step 5: Pick Up Your Order
When your order is ready, the app will send a push notification with your pick-up window and order number. Go to the designated window, show or tell the cast member your number, and pick up your meal—no waiting in line necessary.
